The month of July

Hello friends, how are you? Time flies and it’s the month of July already. We pray that things have been going smoothly for you.

The month of July has been relatively short. We had our usual Romans Bible study, and a continuation on the series of workshops on the reformed worldview on our entertainments. On top of that, we had family seminar and mission seminar! Prof Dykstra was invited to speak for both the speeches.

For our Roman’s BS, we touched on the issue of Christian liberty. Elder Wee led the bible study in place of Pastor Lanning who was away on furlow with his family.

“What is Christian liberty and how do we exercise this Christian liberty” were some of the many questions that were posed during the discussion.

Christian liberty touches on things that are indifferent and we have to pray for wisdom and grace to do all things unto the glory of our Lord and not to stumble our “weaker” brothers. Elder Wee also reminded us from the word of God that we have to bear with the weaknesses of our brothers and sisters. He quoted:

Romans 14:1-3 KJV
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. [2] For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. [3] Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

Interesting isn’t it? Have you exercised your Christian liberty correctly?

For the workshop, we touched on the topic of music! Our brother Josiah led the workshop by giving us an introduction on the place of music in our worship and what are the right songs to listen to.

Here are some questions for you to think about!

Is it okay to listen to songs with right music and wrong lyrics?

Is it okay to listen to songs with right lyrics and wrong music?

The month of July had been short and good. It would be better with your companion and fellowship! Keeping you in prayers =)

Remember, ERP!!
